Where on your list of to dos is taking care of you? Do you prioritise yourself and your needs making sure you have time for exercise, for spirituality and other self-care? If the answer is yes, you get a gold star! ! Make that 2!
If you’re like most people I work with though, you are on the very bottom of your list putting everyone else’s needs ahead of yours. Your partner, your kids, your work colleagues, your pets! Everyone else comes first which can leave you feeling drained, overwhelmed and like nothing is getting done.
It doesn’t have to be that way. If you can shift your mindset to believe that you are as important as everyone else, you will be able to have the strength to not only do “all the things,” but also to be there for the people who need you most. Easier said than done? I have a solution for you, my friend. Please click the link below to access my amazing FREE worksheet:

Did you ever wish there was a secret pill you could take to lose weight? Or maybe a secret formula that you can use to make loads of money?
It would be great if that existed, but sadly, we all need to put in the work to see real results. That doesn't mean that we can't have help to achieve our goals and it doesn't mean that there aren't hacks to simplify the process you follow. In fact, I have recently spent a bit of time talking about the Secret Sauce That Makes Work Fun. I like to think of this as a life hack to get you the motivation and focus you need so that you do the right work that leads to big results.
So what is the secret sauce? It's discovering your passion, your vision, your why. When you identify what lights you up, you can then align it with your business goals and create an action plan that delivers results. I teach you how to do just that in my new masterclass:
If...
Did you know that the fear of public speaking is the most common phobia ahead of death, spiders, or heights? In fact, The National Institute of Mental Health reports that public speaking anxiety, or glossophobia, affects about 73% of the population. That's huge, right?
I have to admit to always getting a bit nervous before I get on stage to speak, but once I'm there - I love it! There's a real boost of adrenaline that comes from connecting to people with a message you believe in and making eye contact with people who are nodding and showing their identification with what you are saying. Have you ever felt this?
Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the covid pandemic has been the closure of all summits, events and forums where one would normally speak. Instead, a lot of these amazing events have shifted to an online platform where speakers can still deliver the content, but in a different way. I have to admit that it's not the same, but it is still so...
Do you ever feel like you have so much to do, but when you sit down to get to work you don’t know where to begin? Do you ever feel like your thoughts and ideas are scattered and you can’t consolidate them to accomplish the task at hand? You are not alone in this my friend! So many of my students often feel the same way and the problem often stems from too many distractions making proper focus almost impossible!
Distractions come in many forms from physical clutter to “open loops” - endless unfinished tasks running circles in our mind - to external distractions like phone bleeps, and email alerts to the rabbit hole of the internet. By removing these distractions in a mindful way, you will be able to get to the business of focusing on getting things done. Below, I have put together 5 strategies to bust through distractions so that you can turbo boost your productivity and move forward in your business and your life. Shall we dive in?
Confession time: I am addicted to kitchen gadgets. I am in love with my strawberry husker and jar opener, and don’t even get me started on my avocado slicer. This one is so good that I gave it to my mother in law as part of her Christmas present a couple of years ago. That’s why when I started hearing about spiralisers I was all ears. I am always looking for healthy alternatives to carbs for dinner so this device sounded like just my sort of thing.
Have you ever used a spiraliser? It is a really cool kitchen gadget for creating gorgeous long spirals of fruit and veg. Spiralised courgette in particular make for a delicious, healthy alternative to spaghetti, hence it’s wonderful name – courgetti!
If you're looking to cut back on carbs, pack in the fruit and veg and make healthier food choices, this gadget could transform how you cook. The difference between 100g of pasta and 100g of courgette is about 300kcal and the cooking time is...
How has the summer been going for you? Have you managed to get some time away?
I have been super lucky and having just spent a glorious 9 days in Italy, I am now in France at my summer home where I will spend the rest of August. One of my biggest summer highlights is eating tomatoes that are now at their sweetest – in fact, I’ve been known to eat them like an apple. In this part of the world they are particularly magnificent and I eat them every day.
I use tomatoes in lots of ways, but my hands down favourite is my interpretation of Caprese Salad. Traditionally, a Caprese salad is made from fresh tomato, buffalo mozzarella, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. It is believed the salad was created in the 1950’s as a symbol of the Italian flag, with the red, the green and the white elements layered in turn on the plate.
I’m really sorry Italy, but I’ve added more colour and more variety to mine. I diverge from the original in...
I am so excited to go on holiday! It really did seem that summer sun was just a dream, but I’m going away on Monday and just can’t wait. I don’t know about you, but for me holiday is about down time and that means lying in the sun and reading a good book. Unfortunately, reading is one of life’s luxuries that I haven’t indulged in recently. However, on holiday I let go and really dive into some great reads – pure heaven!
Did you know that reading a book you really enjoy is a great form of self-care? Letting your mind go to a distant land, think new thoughts or challenge difficult beliefs is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
If you’re wondering what to read this summer, I have put together a list of a few business books I am currently reading that are AMAZING and a few fiction books as well. None of these books are hard going though and can be easily enjoyed while lying in the sun.
I would normally start a post on this topic with something like – are you killing the goals you set in January? Or maybe, time to get back on track! But I have to say, the first thing that comes to my mind is that 2020 has been tough! Speaking for myself, I had all these plans at the beginning of the year about workshops I was going to create, stages where I was going to speak and my signature digital course that I was going to launch in October. It all started well and then Covid hit. Like everyone else, my world was turned upside down and my big plans went on hold.
We now find ourselves 4 months into lockdown with half the year gone at a big potential turning point. The first thing I would like to say to you, my friend, is don’t panic, stay calm and breathe. You have before you an excellent opportunity to reassess the goals you set in January and see if they are still aligned to the person you are today in the new landscape we find ourselves in.
